About the client
Training Camp delivers accelerated certification training for CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA and other IT credentials. Its buyers spend months researching a certification before they spend anything on training, which means the purchase is won or lost long before anyone looks at a course page.

[CLIENT FACTS]
Challenge
Training Camp was losing to a smaller competitor on the certifications that mattered most. DestCert held better rankings for CISSP and CCSP despite a weaker domain, because it published deep, free, genuinely useful study material while Training Camp led with course pages.
That is the trap for any training business. The instinct is to gate the good content and sell the course. The search behaviour runs the other way: people study first, then buy, and whoever helps them study is the brand they buy from.
Traffic reflected it. The site had fallen from 2,832 monthly organic sessions in August 2024 to 1,462 by December, the month before the engagement began.
[SOLUTION]
Solution
01 || Give away the study material. || Free in-depth guides were built for all eight official CISSP domains, each targeting how candidates actually search, with companion cheat sheets and short explainer videos as linkable assets.
02 || Fix what the templates were doing wrong. || Product pages carried article schema they should never have had, hidden H4 tags, broken internal links and 4XX errors. The commercial pages were corrected so they could convert the traffic the guides sent them.
03 || Optimise for AI engines from the start. || From May 2025 the programme tracked visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, treating query mentions and referral traffic as primary metrics. In a category built on research questions, the assistant is increasingly the first place candidates ask.

Results
Organic traffic rose from 1,462 monthly sessions in December 2024 to a peak of 17,531 in August 2026, an increase of 1,099%. Against the three month pre-engagement average of 1,525, the peak represents growth of 1,049%.
Monthly organic traffic value rose from $5,762 to a peak of $30,522 in equivalent paid search spend, up 430%.
The figure that matters most is the current one. As of October 2026, traffic stands at 11,935 monthly sessions, still 716% above the starting point. This is not a spike. It is a position the site has held for over a year.
Looking ahead
The programme continues, with the same logic extending across more certifications. The CISSP model worked, and every credential Training Camp teaches has the same shape: a long research period, a candidate looking for help, and a competitor willing to provide it.
The AI search work matters more here than in most categories. Certification questions are exactly what people now ask an assistant rather than a search engine, and the answer either names Training Camp or it does not.
Figures are Ahrefs estimated organic traffic and traffic value for trainingcamp.com including subdomains, measured October 2026. Competitor and audit findings are from the project content gap analysis and website audit.
